What's new in FastFinder 3.3?
- New supported device: Agilent Mx3000p
- New analysis type: relative quantification including lot dependent dCq cutoffs
- Better visualisation of replicates in the software by grouping all relevant samples with a color indication
- A generic .csv export containing all analysed data is available to enable a seamless integration with external systems (on request)
- Assays can now influence the results of a linked assay. This can be useful for e.g. an extraction control assay to another assay without extraction control. This way, the results of the extraction are incorporated in the results of the target assay.
- Multiple reference curves can be saved with a single click
- LightCycler 1.5 is no longer supported
For more information, consult the detailed technical note which you can find in the Help module.
Risk analysis of below known anomalies revealed that there is only a low risk associated with these anomalies and that the system could be released without resolving them. These anomalies will be fixed in future validated releases of the FastFinder Platform software.
- When the user is using an older version of the software and the environment is updated to a newer version during the usage of the software, an error message is shown instead of a popup informing the user to logout. The user has to close the system but after restarting, FastFinder migrates successfully.
- When a sample is rejected, the user can not switch to the graph of the different targets using the target selection under the graphs. The graphs can still be consulted using the selection in the details table or in the edit sample table.
- When warnings are available for standard curves in the configure assay step, this is not indicated by the general icon next to the assay name but only next to the standard curve warning.
- Multiple standard curves are shown simultaneously when selecting the same target in different subsets in the details tab. This can be avoided by only selecting samples within one subset.
- PDF generation fails when using certain special characters (e.g. ", ?, /, *, >, ...) in the export name.
- When restarting an analysis, the analysis name is reset to the original file name, and not the changed analysis name (if appropriate).

15/06/2018
For the ViiA7, Quantstudio 5, Quantstudio 5 Dx and Quantstudio 7, an exact match is now required between the channels in the datafile and the channels defined in the assay plugin to ensure the correctness of the multicomponent data.
When a new lot was added to an assay that made use of lot and target specific Cq cutoffs, it was no longer possible to see the cutoffs per target after the lot was added. This information can now be found in the lot section of the assay.
Information on the splash screen was updated conform the ISO regulations.

3.1.4
19/04/2018
1) For control samples in which contamination has been detected, the suggested result in the Resolve tab was formerly set to 'Positive'. This has been modified and is now set to 'Contamination' to be more correct.
2) The assay plugin versioning system has been updated to be less restrictive so that more assay plugin can have the same major version number (e.g. when the order of mixes or channels have been modified).
3) Optimalisation of curve computation of BioRad CFX files including the handling of multiple dye calibrations.
These issues have been fixed in the update 3.1.4
3.1.2
08/03/2018
1) If a laboratory has enabled the QC module, the Cq values could be wrongly displayed in the QC overview of the analysis. In addition, when creating a PDF report of the analysis containing QC results, a Cq value could be shown in the QC overview for all targets, not only the ones with a positive result. These issues only occurred in combination with specific assay plugins.
2) In case both qualitative and quantitative assays are analysed on the same plate, the standard curves graphs cannot be consulted since the introduction of the default graph settings per laboratory.
These issues have been fixed in the update 3.1.2
3.1.0
07/02/2018
What's new in FastFinder 3.1?
- Manage subsets to allow multiple assay configurations for the same assay on one plate.
- Configure a file watcher that lists all experiments that still need to be analysed.
- Create exports of the QC module.
- Configure the overall results table and default graph settings in the Settings module.
- Reject all samples with the same name in case a problem was noticed with that particular sample.
- Visualise in-run negative controls and reference curves from other runs during your analysis.
- Remove QC outliers to correct for bias in the calculation of floating means and standard deviations.
In addition, specific behaviour for FDA cleared assay plugins is foreseen.
For more information, consult the detailed user manual which you can find in the Help module.
