When a runfile has been analyzed, the results will become available in the "Summary" tab. If a runfile is successfully analyzed, this tab/overview is the first thing that a user will see automatically.
Control results
At the top, the control results for every assay are shown, allowing the user to quickly evaluate whether the controls are valid or not. More details can be found by expanding this block, displaying the details per control.
Per control, the assay results are being provided, and whether or not the specific control is valid. If enabled, the results for the quality control are also shown here (for more information, see Quality control). The regulatory intended use label, which is defined in the Assay Plugin, is also shown. When a certain control sample type is required in the Assay plugin, a notification will be displayed when this control is not present on the plate. Also warning and information notifications, which are configured in the Assay Plugin on the assay target level of the controls, are directly displayed here.

If the control results are expanded, the sample name (which is indicated in the PCR device software itself) is shown. When you hover over this sample name, also the control sample type (NTC, NC, PTC, PC, …) and the assigned well(s) are shown. When you select a particular control (via the check mark), the corresponding graph and well(s) on the heatmap will be shown.
If requested, for example because of an invalid control, users can directly mark all samples as failed by indicating this button.
Standard curve results
Below the control results, the standard curve results for every assay are shown, allowing the user to quickly evaluate whether the standard curve and quantitative standards are valid or not. This section is only shown when the assay requires a standard curve (quantitative assays). More details can be found by expanding this block, displaying the details per standard curve/quantitative standard (QS) sample.
The same as for controls, the standard curve validity, assay results, regulatory intended use label, notifications on assay target level, sample names of QS wells, … are shown. First, the standard curve characteristics are shown (slope, Y-intercept, E, R², number of valid QSs on the plate). When the standard curve on the plate exceeds the defined standard curve criteria (which are pre-defined in your Assay Plugin or manually adaptable in the assay configuration, see Lab configuration - Assays section), this is directly displayed in the summary tab with a notification.
If enabled, the results for the quality control (on QS level or standard curve characteristic) are also shown here (for more information, see Quality control).
Sample results
In the same tab, the assay results per sample are shown. The assay results are based on the target results, which in turn are based on the algorithm and assay logic. It is not possible to adapt the result of the assay target, only the result of individual targets.
Next to the header, a high-level overview can be found of the analysis results.
This includes the information (in order as shown in the figure above) on the total number of samples:

When hovering over the specific symbol, more information is shown with regards to the total number of samples present in the analysis, e.g. '3 of 94 samples have errors'.
In the sample overview, it can quickly be seen if a certain result has a previous result or if there are sample comments from the FastFinder Workflow process:
- Clock symbol: this sample has a previous result. This can either mean the same sample is rerun or the same sample name is reused.
- Exclamation mark: this sample has comments (via FastFinder Workflow).
Using the filter, it is possible to filter on either of the above parameters.
If you expand a sample, next to the assay result, also the individual results per target are shown. Per target, the result state (i.e. detected, not detected or inconclusive) is shown, and if applicable, the Cq value and concentration.
If a notification is present, this can also be found here (and in case of an error notification, confirmation can be done).
Notifications can either be configured on the assay target level (only in the "Summary" tab, next to the assay result) or on the target level (both in the "Summary" tab and "Details" tab, next to a specific individual target).
This configuration is defined in your Assay Plugin decision tree, for more information check the ‘Understanding your Assay Plugin: Supportive information about the design, functionality and available features’ section.
For each sample, it is possible to quickly navigate to other pages and/or more detailed results. When clicking on the sample name, a pop-up screen will open, displaying the current result and, if present, previous results and data, and sample comments.
From here, the user can quickly go to the sample in the Archive - Sample results tab (‘Go to sample’) or access the details of the target results (‘Target results’) in the Archive module – Target results.
Similar to a sample, the user can quickly access the assay details by clicking on the assay name. This will open a pop-up screen where details of the Assay Plugin can be found.
If lab depending, the cutoffs and ranges are also shown here including the used reference curves and or quantitative standard if applicable.
Click Go to assay ->, to navigate to the Assay Plugin configuration in Lab configuration.
In case your Assay Plugin allows it, the result and/or Cq value of the individual targets can be adjusted both in the Summary and in the Details tab (see later).
Filters can be applied to the control, standard curve and sample results, allowing users to quickly search for a specific result or sample. Additionally, the lay-out of the column settings can be adapted: (certain) columns can be hidden and/or the order of the columns can be changed. The column settings can be accessed via the gear wheel icon on the top right of the respective result boxes.
Finally, when editing results, it is mandatory to save the changes (and if desired, leave a comment). If a result is edited without saving it, the user will see a warning icon next to the relevant sample and a notification indicating that there are unsaved changes. If not saved, these will be deleted when a new action is performed and saved.
